You crack me up! writing a note on a barf bag!!! I totally get it, when you need paper, you grab whatever is available. and let's face it, sometimes writing is a form of soul-vomit. so appropriate.
that said, this is a practice that Hobbit and I have talked about doing for years. We haven't made the actual act a consistent practice, yet. And, I appreciate the nudge.
I love this. And it’s so funny how so many of us are on the same wave length! I saw your comment on another person’s similar post. I also wrote a piece like this about a year ago, before I transitioned to Substack. If you’d like to read it, it’s available on my BeeHiiv page (although I don’t use it any more). It’s fun to read different people’s take and experiences with the same subject. https://ritual-post.beehiiv.com/p/read-with-care
That’s such a beautiful and intentional practice. There’s something so special about slowing down and truly focusing on one person at a time. I love the creativity in your approach too—barf bag letters sound unforgettable! I’m sure each one will make someone’s day.

Thanks! I will definitely read it. It is super interesting that this is somehow in the ether.

What a cool idea, Mel!
Thanks, my fellow armadillo!
Great idea! Gotta build up my energy to follow suit. ❤️
I totally hear that! We all need to take care of ourselves and pace ourselves at the moment. :)
